Sometimes in my life, I need directions.
Evidently, it IS Genetic!
Kid #4 just reminded me of this ~ in more ways than one.
It’s easy to get turned around and head the wrong way.
After being awake most of the night, Kid #4 calls bright and early this morning asking about the Navigation on our cell phones. Now remember, we are only about 1,200 miles apart. He is on his way for training, in another city, that has to do with his job promotion. In order to avoid heavy morning big-city traffic, he took an alternate route. Wouldn’t you know it, life happens.
Not only did he run out of gas in the middle of no-where, he was also headed the wrong direction. Does this sound familiar?
In retrospect, hind-sight is the best vision any of us can ever have. Don’t you think it would be nice if we could miss all of the wrong turns in life? But it’s easy to believe we are on course and it takes something like running out gas to set us back on track again. It may mean we will be late for our plans. But remember, you will see things you would have missed otherwise. You will miss experiences. I pray they are only minor irritations, like a bad rash. Better yet, I hope you find the places you only imagine in fairy tales.
Please excuse me for using terms like “we” and “us” liberally. Hopefully you do not fit into these categories. However, I tend to veer off the main roads of life to explore the unknown paths. Most of the time, I like it that way.
