Yesterday was a day of both trials and blessings.
For the trials, Mr. B may have a real problem with his foot. The orthopedic surgeon will be will be conducting both an MRI and a CT scan today. Seems he may have what is called Lisfranc. That’s a problem having to do with the tendon and the bone. I won’t go into details except to say that depending on the results of today’s tests, surgery may be the next step. If there is a real problem and is left untreated, he could lose the ability to use his foot. In my opinion, that would be more than unfair since Mr. B’s sight is at an extreme minimum.
At this point, we are praying the tests are only a precaution and not a confirmation of a doctor’s concern.
Yesterday, the crutches are gone and the walker is here. The orthopedic shoe/sandal is out and the boot with the air pump is in.
This was the highlight of my day! Kid #3 looked fantastic! In the last year, I have now seen all 5 of my kids.
Kid #3 had to meet me near his house because I had an incomplete address. But here is the 1st face I saw this afternoon.
Now his cutie little daughter has blossomed into quite the little chatter-box. I enjoyed the giggles of daddy and his daughter all afternoon. It was an afternoon of three generations sharing a special moment.
When we walked in the door, I was greeted with paws on the shoulder and facial kisses from this big boy ~ what a surprise! Now when I say facial kisses, I don’t think this Tank missed one little spot…
But in all honesty, every day for the last week has been a blessing! Kid #2 and his two little happy faces are no less of a joy! At the moment, Mr. B and I are staying with Kid #2 and his family while looking for a place. I couldn’t ask for a sweeter daughter-in-law-to-be either.
My cup runneth over with blessings! Later today, I’m expecting one more blessing when the test results come back.
Did I mention that when I got home last night I had the best chicken tacos of my life? Oh My Gosh! They were delicious!!!!
